                 An unforgettable trip 


 

I was so excited when my father  told us that we are going to Nuwara Aliya the next day. we left home at about 6.00 A.M and reached Nuwara Aliya at about 11.00 A.M Our journey was very relaxing  as there was less traffic on the road. the air was cool and refreshing. we passed tea estates on our way to Nuwara Aliya. We stayed in the hotel Garden Hotel. The view so beautiful I stayed a long time in the hotel garden while having tea.

                                       


   In the evening we visited the Victoria park  and Gregary lake. we enjoyed looking at the beautiful flowers. we had a boat ride too. It was   bit sunny and we didn't have rain, We went to the hotel in the evening  and We had a very   nice Dinner. Their food was so delicious.



Next day morning we had our breakfast and went to see the Haggala Gardens. It was so exciting. I enjoyed every minute in the garden. It was like a dream world. After lunch we came home.

How we celebr ated our spo rts meet O ur sport meet was held on the 30th of January in the school grounds. It was a very enjoyable day for us. a week age we started to build our houses. There four houses in our school. we built a beautiful house, so we wanted our house to be the best.   Our chief guest was one of our old boys major S. W. Perera. He had been a great sportsman in our school years ago. We escorted him in our band in to the pavilion. There were lost of other invited guests. The sports meet started with principal's welcome speech. Then the oath was given by all the athletes.  There was a beautiful drill display by the students of grade seven and eight. Most exciting items were the relays. All of us enjoyed watching them run. There was also a beautiful band display. At the end, the chief guests and the other invited guests distributed certificates and the medals for the winners. We enjoyed this very much.

I have a great desire to be a teacher because  I like to teach student.                                                 It is the most  valuable profession in the society .       We  meet show the correct way to our lives.        They improve our talents, spirit, discipline,   teachers in school next to our parents.  They leadership qualities in our lives. So I like to be a teacher.
